Flamingo Marine ROVE 245 WINGS

Flamingo Marine Launches Wings

Expanding the Deck and Redefining the Pontoon Boat Experience

Grafton, WI — October 20, 2025 — Flamingo Marine, the global leader in pontoon boat innovation, announces the debut of Wings (patent pending) — an engineering breakthrough that expands deck space by up to 50% and reimagines how boaters connect with the water.

Flamingo Marine’s Wings are actuated rear side panels that mechanically release and fold down to transform the back of the pontoon boat into an open-water lounge — creating more “water frontage” than any other pontoon boat in the world.

Because on the water, frontage means fun — and Flamingo Marine has engineered the most exciting new way to enjoy it.

The World’s First Expandable Waterfront Deck
Unlike traditional pontoon boats that limit water access to a small ladder or narrow swim platform, Wings (patent pending) open both rear sides of the deck, allowing up to four full-sized adults to sit comfortably with their feet in the water.

The result is an entirely new kind of pontoon boat experience — jumping, diving, swimming, lounging, or connecting water pads directly to the Wings for an expanded play area.

Combined with Flamingo Marine’s MegaLounge (patent pending), Wings turn the stern of the pontoon boat into a true waterfront retreat — a place to relax, recharge, and enjoy the view.

Engineered for Safety, Strength, and Simplicity
Wings are built with marine-grade structural hardware, a lift-assist mechanism, and precision locking points, making them easy for anyone — even kids — to operate safely when the boat is stationary.

When underway, Flamingo Marine’s integrated containment system automatically secures the Wings, connecting to the engine enclosure and blocking access to open water. This ensures safety, compliance, and clean design — hallmarks of Flamingo Marine’s craftsmanship.

“The Wings aren’t an accessory — they’re a structural part of the pontoon boat’s deck,” said Robbie Massengill, Director of Recreational Marine at Flamingo Marine.
“They were engineered from the beginning to be strong, balanced, and beautiful — a seamless extension of the hull, not an afterthought.”

Built for Strength, Designed for Fun
Every Flamingo Marine Wing (patent pending) is supported by a precision-manufactured lattice frame that distributes load forces evenly across the hull. This engineering excellence means boaters can lounge, lean, and play without flex or fatigue — and enjoy a solid, stable platform that feels as strong as the main deck.

“This isn’t fencing bolted to plywood,” added Massengill. “It’s a fully engineered structure designed to deliver joy, safety, and real utility.”

The Perfect Match for MegaLounge and FlexStorage
Wings integrate perfectly with Flamingo’s other patent-pending pontoon boat systems. When used with MegaLounge, boaters can create unique side-facing lounge configurations with unmatched views and comfort.

For practical use, FlexStorage behind the seating works seamlessly with Wings, securing tubes, water pads, and gear neatly out of walkways — keeping the deck open, organized, and fun front and center.

What can you expect from Flamingo Marine Boats?

Five exclusive innovations that set Flamingo apart in the pontoon boat world:

  1. GeminiTable – Dual folding tables that adapt and hide away
  2. ServingShields – Convertible windshields that double as counters
  3. MegaLounge – A reconfigurable lounge for sun or socializing
  4. Wings – Folding sides that expand your deck by 50%
  5.  FlexStorage – Smart storage for tubes, toys, and gear

The Gemini Table system is unique for a couple reasons:

  1.  Integrated into the front bow, outboard seat back pocket, and does not take up storage space
  2.  Storage of the tables is uniquely engineered to hideaway
  3.  The tables can be used together, separately and have a walk way between to not block the path to the front
  4.  Industry first and only modular table available on a pontoon boat that allows the customer to set it use as they want

ServingShields play two roles.

  1. They are a tempered glass serving table for food, snacks and drinks. Allow for convenient flat service space that no other boat in the world does.
  2. They are a windscreen when underway… effectively blocking and redirecting wind while driving

The MegaLounge is an industry first movable rear furniture system that can be configured to your need. Whether it’s a sunpad for catching rays or 2 stern couches along the fence to accommodate your friends, the MegaLounge furniture system works for you.

Flamingo Wings are sides of the deck fence that are engineered to fold out, increasing the deck space & access to the water, and improving the boating experience. Designed for use while stationary, the wings provide substantial more usable deck space and can carry up to 1200 lbs per side when lowered. The spring assisted lift and lowering allows for easy, lightweight deployment and retraction.

FlexStorage is an outcome of multiple Flamingo 5 features used together. Storage is designed into the MegaLounge, created under the ServingShields and engineered into the center pontoon of the boat. The movement of the MegaLounge also enables tubes, large toys and waterpads to be stored behind the seat and pressed against the side of the boat. The benefit of this is that the occupants of the boat are not stepping over or on the toys during trips to and from the sandbar.

All five Flamingo features come standard — world-first innovations, included in the base price of every Flamingo ROVE pontoon boat.
